Discipleship Resources

  • Our hope is your daily devotions shape your day. They inform every part of our lives, especially how we should live and enable us to talk to God. The tool we use for this foundational aspect of our walks is S.O.A.P. It’s stands for Scripture, Observation, Application and Prayer. Learn how to do it in Missional Community, in your Huddle, by serving in Kids, Students or Worship team, just by googling SOAP Bible Study, or reading The Divine Mentor by Wayne Cordeiro.

  • Starting in the context of our SOAP we encourage you to Praise God for ___, Repent _____, Ask Him for things He wants for you with confidence or anything just to be close, Yield your life today in a specific way. Then this P.R.A.Y.from SOAP continues throughout the day! Admittedly, absence trying to go through P.R.A.Y. while talking to God is a bit difficult. After you SOAP it it’s much easier.

  • One role of God’s word is identify for us areas we need to change. Through it we encounter a God who gives us the power of Himself inside of us to make those changes. But He made this change depend on others. In the Context of a Huddle relationship we share how God is directing us to change in our lives and ask them to check up on us. This accountability can happen with any other believer, a spouse, or someone of the same gender in your MC, you serve with or even work with. We want change to be permanent because as new behavior settle Jesus describes that as “abiding” in Him and says this is how His joy comes to us and becomes more full.

  • After spending time with God experiencing and learning from His love we dedicate our time to serving those who know our name where we live, work, learn and play. We serve them with relationship by purposefully getting to know them. We recognize that building relationships is the best way to fulfill the great commission. It’s also true that serving others is the direct result of abiding in Jesus, and so our best way to receive joy from Jesus, full and complete joy we were made for. We steward our time, investing it in things that last.

  • Serve on a Team at church. Sign up here. Sign up for something you are talented at. Invest your talent in order to see how serving the family of God helps you draw closer in community and more able to Go.

  • We would encourage you to give to the church from your financial treasures as well. It’s the same principal, stewarding the resources God intrusted in us into things He values, things that have an eternal value. You can give here. We would encourage you to bring your family into giving financial decisions, especially kids! Bring them into discussions on how much. Let them hit the buttons. Talk about the heart of Biblical joyfull giving. (2 Cor 9:7)

  • As you become a servant to the lost around you conversations will deepen to difficult things. This is so important. These are launching pads to share a modified 15 second testimony which can lead into sharing the 3 Circles.

Afterwards, serve the lost where they live, work, play and learn investing in them relationally. Expect issues of brokenness to come up. Share your 15 second testimony relating to that area of the conversation. Ask, do you have a story like this? Can I share how I got there? Share the 3 circles ending in explaining the ABCs. Ask where do you see yourself and where do you want to be? Do you want to ABC right now?

  • Missional Communities exist as training grounds for going to our neighbors and co-workers with the good news of Jesus Christ. Joining a Missional Community is also the best way to ensure you connect at our church, which includes being cared for in time of need. Join an MC here.

  • From Genesis to Revelation God reveals His heart for all ethnic people groups. Start you journey to learn by watching this video. As you explore scripture each day be on the watch for God to reveal His heart and what He wants you to do about it. We think a good step is to go on a short term mission trip where God’s love for people will grow inside your own heart. What other impact could you make in your personal or local sphere now?
